Tour Itenerary

Day 1: Drive to Siipi Falls.  

Our day will start after breakfast by heading to Siipi falls with a stop in Jinja which takes about two hours. We shall take a walk along the Nile before hopping onto to the boat to go see the Source of the
World’s longest River. We shall then have lunch before heading towards Siipi falls where we shall explore the beautiful waterfalls in this area. Siipi falls are located on the footprints of Mt Elgon, immerse yourself in the views of the Eastern Rift valley during the drive while we make several stops to capture some beautiful nature shots. When we arrive, we shall go for a hike to see some waterfalls in the area while we learn more about the culture of people living in this region. The highest waterfalls in the country are found in this region at 100 meters high.

Travel time: 6 hours.

Check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight an
overnight stay at Crowsnest/Rafiki resort/Lacam Lodge.

Day 2: Coffee tour and transfer to Moroto.

We shall have an early breakfast before going on a
coffee tour which will be illustrated by local farmers. You will learn about the coffee process from planting to until its ready to consume. You will learn
how to pick, roast and pound coffee using a wooden motor. You will participate in making your own coffee and maybe carry some back home if interested.

Right after this activity, we shall start our drive
towards Moroto arriving late afternoon. We shall have lunch before going to a Karamajong village where we shall spend a night participating in traditional games, dancing, milking goats, how to shoot an arrow and traditional friendly wrestling etc. We shall spend a night camping with the Karimojong Warriors in the Kraal and experience typical Karimojong pastoral life surrounded by animals and shepherds. You can participate in bringing cows to the kraal, share stories at the campfire and play local games with the warriors, learn about the nomadic life and while this is going on, you are covered by the sky full of abundant
crystal-clear stars. In Karamoja, the more cattle you have, the richer you are perceived to be hence this has been the cause for cattle raids in the past years. Unlike other parts of Uganda, most Karamojongs have shun western-style clothing and instead wear a “traditional” wrap of a blanket often in red and
black. The women wear elaborate beadwork and hand made skirts.

Day 5: Explorer Kidepo Valley NP

We will have our early morning breakfast before
heading out on a game drive along the trails of Kidepo valley NP. The park inhabits one of the most exciting faunas of any Ugandan parks. With over 80
species of mammals, several of these are endemic to Kidepo national park like the cheetah, the striped hyena the caracal and over 460 bird species
including ostriches. Be sure to have your cameras ready to capture the day’s activity. We shall take you back to your lodge for dinner and
an overnight stay as mentioned above.

Day 3: Optional activities.

You can choose to walk around the Karamojong plains or a bicycle tour of Karamojong villages. The bicycle tour takes you around different homesteads of the Karamajong people and while you are at it, you get to explore the surrounding plains with a beautiful back drop of Mountain Moroto. Other than this, you are free to get into to the town and explore it at your own pace. We shall drive back to the hotel and your accommodation will be same as mentioned above.

Day 4: Drive to Kidepo

After breakfast we shall make our journey to Kidepo Valley National Park. This is one untapped park with less tourists but more animals! The
landscape in this regin will probably be one of the most memorable on your safari. Kidepo is Uganda’s most isolated national park but a few who make
the journey far North through the wild frontier region of Karamoja would vote that it is also the most magnificent. Kidepo ranks high among Africa’s
wilderness parks. From Apoka in the heart of the park, a savannah landscape extends far beyond the gazetted area, towards horizons outlined by distant
mountain ranges with beautiful views. We shall arrive early evening and check in to your hotel for dinner and an overnight at stay:

Day 7: Explorer Murchison Falls NP 

We shall have an early morning start for your Game drive just in time to cross River Nile with a Ferry. On our game drive, we shall be looking out for predators and early risers on the Northern bank of the Nile. You may have a chance to see various animals like hyenas, giraffes, Lions, birds, Hartebeests, buffalos, elephants, primates and not forgetting tons of different bird species. After the game drive, we shall return to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon you will be taken for a launch cruise on the great Victoria Nile to the Bottom of the waterfalls. The boat cruise will award you with water game like hippos, crocodiles, elephants and plenty of birds dashing and walking along the banks.

Day 6: Transfer to Murchison Falls

After breakfast, we shall drive to Murchison Falls
National park. We shall arrive early afternoon, check in and have some lunch.
Feel free to relax or take a swim if your hotel happens to have a swimming pool. Later, we shall head out for a late afternoon game drive which will take us about three hours. On this game, we shall be on the look out for mammal species like lions, elephants, leopards, hyenas, lots of antelope species and many more.

After the game drive, we shall drive back to our
lodge for an early dinner and an overnight stay as mentioned above.

Day 8: Drive to Kampala.

We shall have an early breakfast before we head out of the park. We shall arrive Kampala five hours later and on arrival we transfer you to the airport.
